Karen believes all people deserve to be genuinely heard and understood. Karen’s 30 years of career experience prior to joining Ellie as a Licensed Professional Counselor took place within the public school system as a parent, substitute teacher, special education teacher, psychological examiner, and school-based therapist. Although her work focused on preteens, teens, and young adults, she oftentimes found herself equally supporting guardians. She desires to help clients of all ages use their strengths to find creative, practical, realistic ways to approach the challenges that drove them to seek therapy. Karen brings her energy and humor into all she does. She finds joy in the little things in life especially when she gets to share experiences with the humans and pets she loves.
