Kara is Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. She enjoys supporting people throughout their journey with mental wellness and self-discovery. Throughout this journey, Kara will support with compassion, empathy, and active listening to build insight into current patterns to explore how they are currently impacting our overall well-being and support throughout the discovery of positive changes. She often likes to meet clients where they are and tailor the treatment to best fit and support throughout the journey.
Prior to joining the team with Ellie, Kara worked for a non-profit having experiences serving individuals that have difficulties with anxiety, depression, effects of past trauma, and challenges with relational boundaries.
Outside of work, Kara enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and animals on her country land. You can typically find her either gardening or sitting around a fire.
