Kamran Sakhitab, is a compassionate therapist dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges with resilience, confidence, and radical authenticity.

He holds dual Master’s Degrees in Clinical Social Work and Public Health, along with a Certificate in Disaster Resilience Leadership from Tulane University. Kamran’s multidisciplinary background informs his holistic approach to mental health, emphasizing both emotional and physical well-being.

Kamran integrates breathwork, mindfulness, and somatic experiencing into his practice, tailoring sessions to the unique needs of each client. He utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), and solutions-focused therapy to address a variety of mental health concerns. Kamran also emphasizes the importance of healthy lifestyles, personal goals, and boundary-setting as essential tools for client growth.

With experience in inpatient social work at one of New Orleans’ frontline hospitals, Kamran has supported a variety of patients navigating complex medical and mental health challenges. He also has experience providing crisis counseling and leading teams during disaster response operations, helping individuals and communities recover from significant trauma. These experiences have shaped his empathetic approach, ensuring that each client feels heard, valued, and supported. Kamran takes a systems-oriented perspective to help clients uncover the root causes of their challenges, empowering them to build resilience, confidence, and positive vulnerability in the face of life’s difficulties. As a former rugby player in college and current practitioner in yoga and mixed martial arts, Kamran is additionally equipped to support athletes seeking psychotherapy. Whether working individually or in group settings, he creates a safe space where clients can explore their emotions and cultivate lasting change.
