Joko’s counseling style is welcoming, empathetic and interactive. she believes in empowering her clients; promote growth and build upon the strengths that her clients already have. Joko is passionate about creating a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe and comfortable sharing thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and address their challenges. Joko works collaboratively with clients and treatment is designed to meet client’s specific needs.
Joko draws from systemic and strength-based perspectives. She also incorporates other treatment modalities, including Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Solution-FocusedTherapy, DBT, TF-CBT, Christian Counseling, and trauma-informed modalities.
Joko has extensive experience providing quality services for adults, adolescents, couples, and families on a wide range of areas including depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral issues, relationships, interpersonal dynamics, communication, self-esteem, school/career issues, anger management, stress management, parenting dynamics, addictions, grief/loss, and life transitions. Joko also has experience working with clients who deal with painful life experiences, immigration, and acculturation issues.
