Jessica Kovatch, MSW

Therapist

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve been holding a lot in for a long time. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and safe to be your whole self at your own pace. I believe that healing happens when we’re met with empathy, not judgment, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you explore challenges, gain insight, and move toward the life you want to live.
I work with teens, young adults, and adults facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I am especially passionate about supporting women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and those working through trauma. My approach is flexible and collaborative, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and Polyvagal Theory.

I earned my Master of Social Work from West Virginia University and am currently working toward independent clinical licensure (LICSW). Before becoming a therapist, I was a professional athlete—an experience that shaped my understanding of pressure, identity, and the importance of mental wellness. I integrate that perspective into my work, especially with clients managing performance stress, transitions, and questions about purpose and self-worth.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy good coffee, staying active, and spending time with my two cats. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for change, I’m here to help!
