Jenilee Marquez is Registered Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from NOVA Southeastern University. She has over 10 years’ experience in the mental health, behavioral, and substance use field and is trained in assessing for trauma using trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). She has a passion for working with adolescents, teens and adults and has considerable experience helping clients through numerous difficulties including anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, bipolar disorders, self-esteem, women’s issues, motivation, personality disorders, mood disorders, and more. Jenilee’s areas of specialty are working with clients who suffer from anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. Her approach is person centered therapy and trauma informed care, while incorporating other evidence -based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution focused therapy. She strives to assist clients in processing emotions and learn coping skills to improve day to day stressors and challenges while decreasing symptoms and improving quality of life. Jenilee sees the client as an expert in their life and works to guide them to achieve their goal. She enjoys using humor and empathy while being genuine and authentic with clients during their therapy process. She values providing a safe and nonjudgement space where clients can feel empowered to work on themselves, process, and heal.
