Therapy doesn’t always start with a breakdown. Sometimes it starts with burnout. Or feeling stuck. Or wondering, “Why does this keep happening?” Maybe life feels a little out of sync—like you’re showing up, checking the boxes, but still carrying a weight that no one seems to notice. Whether you’re navigating stress, low mood, performance pressure, or relationship strain, I’m here to help you slow down, check in, and build something that feels more aligned with who you are and who you want to be.
I’m Jeff (he/him), a licensed social worker and certified alcohol and drug counselor. I work with children, teens, young adults, adults, and families to explore what’s feeling off and reconnect to what matters most. My therapy style is warm, calm, and often a little playful—I’m not afraid to meet you with humor when it helps. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe to open up, but also supported enough to laugh, reflect, and move forward with real tools and insight. Whether we’re diving into deep reflection, processing something difficult, or practicing a new strategy, we’ll go at your pace—no judgment, no pressure.
I try to bring a grounded presence to therapy—someone who can hold space for the hard stuff while also offering hope, direction, and some lightness along the way. I take a person-centered approach, which means I see you as the expert on your life. I’m just here to ask good questions, offer fresh perspective, and help you develop the emotional and mental tools you need to move forward. Our work is always collaborative—rooted in trust, mutual respect, and curiosity.
I’m particularly passionate about supporting men and boys as they navigate the often-unspoken pressure to “hold it together.” Whether it’s teen boys trying to find their place, young men sorting out identity and purpose, or adult men wrestling with performance, burnout, or substance issues—I offer a space where vulnerability is not just welcomed, but respected. This includes veterans and first responders navigating the weight of their roles, as well as faith-based clients exploring the intersection of mental health and spirituality.
In addition to individual therapy, I also work with couples and families to improve communication, strengthen connection, and work through patterns that keep them feeling stuck. Whether you’re in the middle of a major life transition, healing from relational hurt, or just want to be more present for your people—I’m here to help you show up with intention and resilience.
Clinically, I draw from CBT and DBT to help clients challenge unhelpful thoughts and manage emotions with more confidence. I also integrate motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, and play-based strategies (especially with kids and teens) to keep therapy accessible, engaging, and relevant. No two clients are the same, so I tailor my approach based on your goals, needs, and what works best for you. Sometimes that means sitting in silence. Sometimes it means drawing diagrams or role-playing a tough conversation. And sometimes, it’s about finding the metaphor or language that finally makes something click.
What I want you to know is this: therapy doesn’t have to be intimidating. You just have to be willing to show up—even if things feel messy. In our work together, my goal is to help you build clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of self. You’ll walk away with practical tools for managing anxiety, improving communication, strengthening boundaries, and navigating life transitions. More importantly, I hope you walk away with a deeper connection to yourself and the belief that real change is possible—even if it’s one small step at a time.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviors, relationship stress, or the quiet ache of feeling disconnected from who you used to be, I’m here to support you. Our sessions will be a space to reflect, process, and try new things—without pressure to have it all figured out. I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, respected, and empowered to grow.
And hey—if we can mix in a sports analogy, a good laugh, or a high-five when it fits, that’s part of the work too. When you’re ready, I’ll be here.
We aren’t always taught how to talk about stress, burnout, or emotions—but that doesn’t mean you have to keep pushing through alone. I create a space where clients can show up, be real, and figure things out—without the pressure to have it all together.
