Jason embraces the sacred journey of healing that unfolds while walking alongside his clients. Because of his person-focused care and established treatment outcomes, in 2012, the American Mental Health Counselors Association awarded him the Mental Health Counselor of the Year. He will diligently work to earn your confidence and maintain your trust. He looks forward to achieving your treatment goals and assisting with your individualized healing. His education includes a Master of Counseling and a Doctorate in Counselor Education & Supervision. He specializes in treating trauma and dissociative disorders, bipolar and related mood disorders, compulsive behaviors and addictions, and dysfunctional relationships and their associated attachment styles. His specialty training includes Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Functional Family Therapy (FFT). His research includes serving as a behavioral health clinical panel member for Stanford University’s health policy center for primary care and outcomes research and collaborating as an investigator for the American Psychiatric Association’s DSM-5 field trials in routine clinical practice settings.
