Janel is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with 30 years of experience working with children, adults and families. She is experienced in addressing issues of depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and stress management and has special interest in helping young adults navigate through life’s transitions.
Janel has worked as a child protection social worker in both MN and ND and has been a group therapist in partial hospitalization and intense outpatient programs. She is a former foster parent and is comfortable navigating all areas of the social service system.Her current practice includes working with teens and adults. She employs a warm and empathetic approach to therapy, prioritizing the establishment of a strong therapeutic alliance built on trust and mutual respect.
