Gryphan is a Licensed Master Social Worker who attended and graduated from the University of Iowa. Gryphan has previously worked in community mental health with a focus on PTSD and complex trauma. He is also experienced in treating mood disorders, disordered eating, and issues specific to the LGBTQ+ community. He uses a variety of treatment modalities, including EMDR, TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Trauma Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and expressive art interventions. Gryphan is also an accomplished artist, having participated in a variety of art shows and festivals, and has a service dog named Sebastian, a purebred yellow Labrador Retriever.
