Gryphan is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who received his Master’s Degree from the University of Iowa. Gryphan uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach with his clients, and has previously worked in community mental health with a specialty in treating PTSD and complex trauma. He is also experienced in treating mood disorders, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and issues specific to the LGBTQ+ community. Gryphan works with individuals, couples, families, and groups. He uses a variety of treatment modalities, including EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Trauma Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and expressive art interventions. Gryphan is also an accomplished artist, having participated in a variety of art shows and festivals, and has a service dog named Sebastian, a purebred yellow Labrador Retriever.
