Working with adolescents and adults, Gavin specializes in trauma and has spent his career in community mental health settings; mentoring and teaching at the university level; working in private practice; and supporting the diverse spiritual and emotional needs of the military community in the Air National Guard. He uses many strategies including EMDR, Mindfulness based coping skill development, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). When he’s not at work, you can find Gavin hanging out with his wife and pups, Porter – a lab hound mix – and Winston – a miniature Australian Shepherd – playing, hiking or biking. His favorite self-care practices include meditation, yoga, and weight training.
