Gabrielle “Gab” is a mental health counselor who is nearing licensure. She earned her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and bachelor’s in psychology from University at Albany. Gab worked previously for two years at a local clinic, where she held the honor of assisting hundreds of individuals in improving their mental well-being. She is a certified grief informed and certified trauma professional. She also holds specialty certifications in pet loss and grief and integrative mental health. Gab utilizes a unique approach with each individual often integrating person-centered, trauma-focused, solutions-based and existential approaches. Her specialties include grief, complicated grief, suicide loss survivors, pet loss, childhood trauma, PTSD and identity issues. Gab believes that the re-establishment of safety and meaning, as well as experiencing genuine unconditional positive regard when most vulnerable is what allows individuals to start healing after a traumatic event or loss.
