Emily is a pre-licensed clinical therapist who believes that our lives are shaped by the systems, relationships, and narratives in them, and that we can find healing and growth through exploring, understanding, and creating change in these areas. Her goal is to create a space and a therapeutic relationship that allows people the security and room to do the often difficult but rewarding work of therapy.
Emily’s therapeutic style is centered in her direct communication, humor, thoughtfulness, compassion, and curiosity. She uses a mixture of modalities including narrative, experiential, IFS, neuro, and somatic work. Emily approaches therapy via a systemic and relational lens and the belief that no one and nothing exists in a vacuum.
Emily works with adults 18+ years old, couples, polyamorous relationships, friendships, and families. While her main areas of interest include working with the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) population and fat positivity, she loves working with a wide variety of clients and concerns.
Outside of work Emily takes many slow walks with her oversized dog, listens to audiobooks, and always has one or two creative projects going. She loves birding, being in nature, relaxing with friends, and falling down research rabbit holes.
