Elizabeth Ponce, LPC-A

Staff Therapist

Elizabeth is a bilingual licensed professional counselor associate (LPC-A) supervised by Dr. Pedro J. Blanco, PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S, CHST with previous experience working primarily with children and families in a community mental health agency. Elizabeth enjoys working with individuals and families in order to walk alongside them in the journey of reaching their goals.

Elizabeth practices from a person-centered approach where she works collaboratively with the client to achieve goals, empower them to make choices that are most congruent with their authentic selves, and create a safe and non-judgmental environment. She strives to provide a trusting therapeutic environment where individuals can be themselves, feel validated, and feel heard. When working with children under ten, Elizabeth practices child-centered play therapy where children learn to express themselves and regulate their choices in a non-directive environment. When working with teens and adults, she uses modalities from CBT, mindfulness, and expressive arts, alongside with the basic person-centered tenants of acceptance and client led growth.
