Dr. Frances Morrison, PsyD

Clinical Supervisor/Psychologist

Dr. Frances Morrison is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing in the state of Illinois. She earned her Doctor of Psychology degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also earned a Master of Arts degree in School Psychology from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Loyola University in Chicago.

Dr. Morrison specializes in providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals of all ages who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relational problems, gender identity issues, and adjustment problems. Additionally, she works with families in developing and maintaining healthy boundaries, fostering cohesion and communication, reducing family conflict, and building empathy among family members. As a child, adolescent, and adult therapist, Dr. Morrison uses a client-centered approach in conjunction with evidenced-based treatment modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Narrative Therapy, and Brief Supportive Therapy. In addition, Dr. Morrison helps clients manage intense negative emotions, cope with stress, develop healthy relationships and gain a deeper understanding of themselves in order to live a more balanced and fulfilled life.

Through her professional work and clinical training, Dr. Morrison has developed skills as a supportive, empathic, and intuitive therapist. She places a high value on building relationships, as well as, working cooperatively with family and educational systems. Furthermore, she believes in accepting and interacting with people in a genuine way, and she uses the same approach to develop trusting and empathic therapeutic relationships with her clients.
