Independently licensed in mental health counseling for over two decades, with a doctorate in psychology, and dual specialization in trauma and addictions, I possess solid interpersonal, communication, clinical, and organizational skills. The Person-Centered philosophy with which I am philosophically aligned invites for my treating individuals from within a holistic – bio, psycho, social, spiritual – lens.
My office, a sacred space, is adorned with earthy hues to create a warm, grounding environment conducive to personal healing and growth. A crate of natural pine filled with oil pastel, colored pencils, fabric, clay, ribbon, and beads, occupy a corner of my office, and wooden drums of African descent, of varied size lay adjacent, inviting clients to connect with rhythm and movement. This is a fairly new practice as my immersion in Person-Centered Expressive Arts has shifted my professional work from a primarily cognitive-behavioral talk therapy, to one which embodies expressive arts modalities and the spoken word.
My passion lies in my direct work with adolescent and adult populations, as well as in consulting, and leading clinical teams within behavioral health systems.
