Diara is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental. She has worked with adults in various settings including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient therapy. Diara strives to provide a safe environment enabling growth and self-confidence. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and helps clients increase their knowledge and awareness of ineffective patterns and supports clients in replacing them by implementing more positive patterns in their routines. Diara aims to be a guide while simultaneously empowering her clients during the therapeutic process. She is passionate about counseling adults experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, stress, grief, substance abuse, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, coping skills, racial identity, spirituality, mood disorders, women’s issues, peer relationships, life transitions and others.
