Darcy graduated with her master’s degree in clinical social work, and is a licensed graduate social worker. Darcy comes to Ellie having a variety of experience including work as a medical social worker in multiple intensive care units, providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy, school social work, and working within a residential treatment facility for those struggling with Eating Disorders. Darcy is a passionate therapist who strives to meet her clients where they are at in life to assist them in accomplishing their own goals. Darcy is well versed in a number of different treatment methods and feels it is important to tailor her interventions to the unique needs of each client. With Darcy, clients can expect a non-judgmental space with emphasizes on self-validation and compassion throughout the healing process. Darcy’s main objective in therapy is to help clients gain insight into their own emotions and/or behaviors and develop effective strategies to improve their quality of life. She has a special interest working with young adults, adults, and older adults struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and life transitions.
Outside of work, Darcy enjoys spending time with family, cooking, hiking, and traveling.
