Dr. Daniel McClure is a mental health counselor and certified mindfulness meditation teacher. He earned his Ph.D from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rhode Island College. He brings 15+ years of experience as an educator, group facilitator and mentor to his clinical work.
Daniel meets clients where they are and helps them to feel heard, seen and empowered about their decisions, their relationships and themselves. He works with clients across the lifespan to develop the tools, cognitive flexibility and motivation to work towards their goals and to navigate a path to wellness. His approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate and solution-focused.
Daniel draws upon a variety of treatment modalities to facilitate cognitive and behavioral change, greater self-awareness and opportunities for growth in clients. He often utilizes process and mindfulness-based approaches to help clarify goals, identify presenting issues and chart a path forward. He works collaboratively with clients to create an individualized roadmap and to identify supports, to develop tools and to implement changes as they navigate a path to wellness.
