Courtney Parmer, LMSW


Courtney is a LMSW who works with adolescents, young adults, and adults. Courtney graduated with her MSW from Our Lady of the Lake University with a specialization in Hispanic Children and Families. Courtney’s experience includes working with vulnerable adults, teens and adolescents, and young adults. She has over 10 years working in the mental health field and her work has included substance abuse clinics, behavioral health hospitals, community health, crisis response, government programs, and schools. Most recently, Courtney worked in a school providing counseling for adolescents and teens with a mental health diagnosis, including but not limited to Autism, Anxiety, Depression, and/or Other Emotional Disabilities. Courtney strives to create an authentic environment where true exploration and self discovery can be fostered and real change occurs. Courtney views therapy to be a collaborative process which honors a person’s individual, cultural, and familial identities and values. Courtney utilizes strength-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based interventions and approaches. Outside of the office, Courtney enjoys playing football (soccer), watching the EPL (English Premier League) and spending time with her family.
