Christina O’Brien is a board-certified music therapist, licensed professional counselor, and certified dementia practitioner. She graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with her Bachelor’s of Music in Voice Performance and earned her Master of Art’s in Music Therapy from Immaculata University. Christina has 10+ years of clinical experience working in hospice care; adjuticated youth and adults in corrections; in-patient pediatric care; older adults with neurodegenerative diseases; children, adults and seniors with IDD needs; and grief and bereavement support with families and children. Christina previously developed and practiced as the Music Therapy Program Coordinator/Founder at a local hospice agency in Chester County. Additionally, Christina is an adjunct faculty member and the clinical training coordinator at West Chester University in the Music Therapy department. Christina brings a unique and person-centered approach to counseling with Ellie Mental Health through her creative arts background using the universal healing benefits of music. In her spare time, Christina enjoys spending time with her family, dogs, traveling, quilling and outdoor activities.
