Charlie Lane, MSW LCSW

Therapist

Charlie earned his bachelor’s degree from Clark University in psychology while being a 4 year varsity athlete, and his Masters’ Degree in Social Work from Boston College amid the pandemic. Charlie specializes in working with individuals predominantly adolescents and young adults, struggling with a plethora of mental health and biopsychosocial challenges such as grief and loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, substance use issues, etc. In his current role, Charlie works to serve the city of Boston’s most at-promise young people, many of whom have become court-involved and face adversity as a byproduct of poverty, racism, and systemic barriers that affect many of Boston’s neighborhoods. Charlie has worked in numerous roles that have allowed him to work with family during crises and some of their most difficult moments, allowing him to become accustomed to meeting clients where they are at, creating a safe and nurturing therapeutic alliance.

Charlie takes a strengths-based approach to his work, empowering clients to become the version of themselves that they aspire to and are capable of being. Charlie is trained in several therapeutic models but relies heavily on good rapport, trust, and unconditional positive regard to create a healing and reparative environment for his clients. Charlie’s goal is to engage clients in a therapeutic alliance that is not only healing for the client but allows them to thrive beyond the office or the screen in every element of their lives. He is looking forward to connecting with you and joining you on your path to becoming your best self.
