I graduated from NMSU with a Bachelor of Art in Sociology. From there, I went on to earn a Master of Science in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University. In addition to my education, my own life experiences have led me to this career path. I chose to become a counselor because of my passion to help others. I have experience working with those who suffer from substance abuse, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, and PTSD. I enjoy working with different populations and demographic groups including, children, teens, and adults. My approach in therapy consists of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), alongside mindfulness techniques. My goal is to ensure that my clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my three beautiful children, reading, watching football, and listening to music.
