Carolina is a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), graduating with an MSW from Sacred Heart University. Many years ago, she immigrated to the United States and became a an active, bilingual, culturally competent member of the community. She specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and families. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety disorders, trauma related to transnational migration, family reunification, parental guidance & support, school related anxieties and social relationship issues, grieving and bereavement support. She provides an individualized approach to counseling, utilizing a personalized blend of therapeutic approaches, encompassing the client-centered approach, supported by Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy and the Family Systems approach to her work with families.
