Cari provides psychological evaluations for children. Cari’s goal is to help caregivers, teachers, and therapists better understand areas where the child has strengths and where they could use more support. Through these evaluations, she can assess for diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, as well as other mood and behavioral disorders.
Cari also works with children in therapy, she works with the child and caregivers to maximize the child’s success in their environment. While play is definitely a part of her sessions, she also works to build skills and follows evidence based practices. Cari helps support caregivers in building strategies and identifying solutions for challenging behaviors as well.
Cari has worked with children and their families in a variety of contexts and she greatly enjoys seeing the world from a child’s perspective and joining them in their journey. Cari will bring creativity, energy and research based ideas on how to best address a child’s needs in therapy.
When Cari is not at work, she enjoys trying out new adventures and experiences with her family, spending time outdoors, and, of course, curling up on a couch with a good book or show.
