Brianna Howard, LGSW

Mental Health Therapist

Welcome! I’m a therapist licensed in Washington, DC, dedicated to creating a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard. I bring a fresh, modern perspective to my practice, having graduated from Columbia University in May 2025 and earning my license that July. My training is grounded in evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.

At the heart of my work is a passion for helping people navigate the complexities of interpersonal relationships of all kinds. Whether you’re looking to improve communication with a partner, set boundaries with family members, deepen connections with friends, or manage dynamics with coworkers, I’m here to help. I love weaving insights from attachment theory into our work to understand the patterns that show up in these relationships and build more secure, fulfilling connections.

My practice is intentionally inclusive and affirming. I have a special interest and commitment to supporting individuals within the neurodivergent, sex worker, polyamorous, queer, and Black communities.

I believe that therapy should be a collaborative and empowering partnership. My goal is to be your friendly guide, offering practical tools and thoughtful support to help you build a life that feels authentic and joyful. If you’re looking for a down-to-earth therapist to help you write your next chapter, I’d be honored to hear your story.
