Breanna is an Art Therapist who specializes in anxiety, depression, and Spirituality. She has experience working with adults with physical and developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, and young adults. She also has experience working in diverse settings including schools, nursing homes, group homes, and residential. Breanna is passionate about incorporating an individual’s faith perspective into therapy.
Breanna identifies as a Christian but loves working with individuals from any Spiritual background. She is also the author of an Art Therapy devotional book called “The Creative Connection: An interactive Art Devotional that combines Mental Health and Spirituality” in which she provides scientific research as to how having Spirituality is beneficial for one’s mental health and how one can use Art Therapy as a way of growing in their faith. Breanna strives to never impose her beliefs on her clients and desires that everyone feels free to be themselves in a judgment-free zone.
When Breanna is not at Ellie, you can find her teaching at Bethel University in the undergraduate Art Therapy program and well as leading Art Therapy groups for individuals with disabilities. Or she will be spending time with her husband Matt (also a therapist at Ellie), 2 kids, and 2 wiener dogs.
