Bethany Holton, LBA, MEd


Bethany is a Michigan native and die-hard Detroit Lions fan who has resided in Nashville, TN, since 2007. She brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal passion to her work. After becoming a board-certified behavior analyst in 2007 and later a licensed behavior analyst in 2017, Bethany’s thirst for knowledge led her back to academia. At Lindsey Wilson College, she expanded her expertise into mental health counseling, further broadening her impact.

Her work with neurodiverse individuals, athletes, performers, grief and trauma cases, and substance use treatment showcases her versatility. She is known for using a variety of techniques to help individuals realize they have the potential to have mental wellness, even in the face of mental illness or obstacles in life. She is trained in Brainspotting and utilizes this neurophysiological approach while incorporating somatic experiencing, person-centered, internal family systems, mindfulness, and radical acceptance into her practice. Whether through research, therapy, or advocacy, Bethany’s dedication to mental health is unwavering. Her journey reflects a blend of resiliency, academic rigor, professional excellence, and a deep-rooted passion for helping others.

As a mental and behavioral health professional, she is more than a practitioner; she is a source of hope and guidance for those entangled in the complexities of mental health challenges.
