Barbara is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who works to create a warm, non-judgmental space for kids and caregivers to explore feelings and thoughts through play and conversation. Barbara completed Attachment Regulation Competency certification and aims to use and value the caregiver child relationship as the center of meaningful and lasting strategies to support regulation. Barbara has interest in working with children and teens as they lay a foundation of understanding emotions to support relationships and well being. Barbara also has interest in perinatal mental health and reflective supervision.
Barbara tends to use strengths based approaches and elements of CBT and DBT with psycho education about how the mind and body are connected and through use of mindfulness for coping.
Outside of work, Barbara enjoys spending time with her three children and husband. Barbara likes painting, hiking, biking, and baking.
