Ashmal Naveed is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate, supervised by Megan Rasmussen, LPC-S. Ashmal has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Child Learning and Development and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Development from Texas Woman’s University. Counseling can seem like a daunting process, and Ashmal aims to create a safe space for clients to sit with their feelings and process experiences. Ashmal has experience working in various not-for-profit organizations, community mental health care, and inpatient settings providing individual, group, and family therapy. She is a multiculturally competent therapist specializing in assisting clients in crisis management, life transitions, depression, anxiety, stress management, relationships and family issues, behavioral challenges, and trauma by utilizing various modalities including person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with a trauma-informed and family systems approach. Ashmal believes that everyone is unique in their life experiences and her goal is to help them reach their full potential. Ashmal is experienced in working with children, adolescents and adults.
