Araceli Valenciana is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Rochelle Schutte, MA, NCC, LPC-S. Araceli has a Bachelor of Cognitive Science from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Araceli has a passion for helping clients work to face and overcome trauma. She specializes in working with adults with a variety of issues such as complex trauma, PTSD, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, and substance use issues. She works to gain an understanding of the client’s perspective by using a person-centered approach. She provides a space for growth and collaboratively focuses on creating an integrative therapeutic plan that fits the client’s needs. She supports her clients to freely express themselves in their unique way to help them find their path to success.
She seeks to work with the client by providing psychoeducation, meeting the client where they are at, focusing on issues that are important to the client, fostering a sense of resilience, and ultimately developing the necessary skills to instill a sense of autonomy.
