Pre-Licensed Therapist

April is a pre-licensed therapist working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in both Minnesota and North Dakota. From Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM), April received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. At North Dakota State University (NDSU), April is working toward a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision.

April is passionate about working with a wide variety of clients. She provides a person-centered approach and strives to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs. April’s goal is to provide a space where all clients feel safe to share. As a therapist, April utilizes techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Relational Cultural Theory.

Outside of work, April enjoys traveling, playing with her pet cat, and spending time with family and friends.
