Andrew Bako (he/him) is a licensed clinical social worker and earned his MSW at Virginia Commonwealth University. Over the past several years, Andrew has worked with a diverse group of individuals in outpatient therapy and crisis settings. He specializes in trauma-informed care to ensure a safe, supportive, and nonjudgemental environment for healing. Andrew approaches each client with empathy and understanding, recognizing the unique complexities of their journey. By emphasizing collaboration and actively seeking feedback, Andrew tailors treatment to individual needs, empowering clients to overcome challenges. He has experience working with adults experiencing complex trauma and PTSD, depression and anxiety, LGBTQIA+ concerns, life transitions, and a number of other concerns and diagnoses. He draws from evidenced-based interventions including CBT, TF-CBT, and ACT to help individuals navigate their internal landscape, develop insights into their thought processes and behaviors, heal from past wounds, and create lasting change within themselves.
