Anamaria Guzman Cardenas, MA, R-DMT


As a first-generation Sanish speaking Colombian immigrant woman and new Master’s Level Clinician, Anamaria (she/her) hopes to bring a wealth of diverse experiences, and specialized skills to her practice from her work in intensive outpatient to partial hospitalization settings with children, adolescents, and adults with an array of challenges and socio-cultural backgrounds.

With a foundation in Neuroscience, Anamaria incorporates neuro-informed psychoeducation tools and practices that are based on bio and neurofeedback protocols. In addition, she applies trauma-informed therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Dialectical Behavioral Theory (DBT) approaches, developmental/attachment theory, and mindfulness which is complemented by the integration of her Dance/Movement therapy practice. By prioritizing the integration of both mind and body where clients are able to express different embodied ranges of their lived experiences, Anamaria hopes to continue to foster a therapeutic space for respect, empathy, humor, acceptance, and healing.
