Amy loves her job as a therapist. She collaborates with clients 18+ to identify goals and address barriers to change. Amy recognizes how much courage it takes to reach out for help, so she treats everyone she interacts with compassion and kindness. Amy works with clients to tailor treatment to meet their needs. In therapy, she tries to create a warm and validating environment so clients feel comfortable. She has a quirky sense of humor and can be silly or serious depending on the situation.
Amy has master’s degrees in both Counseling and Psychological Services and in Clinical Psychology (with a trauma focus) and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Amy has been working in the mental health field for the past 20+ years in various capacities including community mental health, residential treatment, crisis counseling, and individual therapy.
When Amy is not working she enjoys time with family and friends. She also is an avid artist and crafter. Amy also enjoys traveling and gardening (especially gourds). She is fascinated with zombie shows and movies.
