Alyssa enjoys working with people of all ages with multicultural backgrounds; and specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, and older adults. Alyssa has experience working with LGBTQIA+ youth – as a digital crisis counselor. Alyssa works with people experiencing depression, anxiety, gender identity struggles, sexual orientation struggles, gender dysphoria, family conflict, and trauma. Alyssa strives to make therapy a safe place for all her clients to share their stories and work together to explore and identify sources of distress in their lives. She believes that therapy is a journey and a beautiful process to learn and grow while creating a tool belt of coping skills and long-term solutions to better mental health. She is a person-centered therapist, and she provides therapy that works for her clients, understanding the intersectionalities of life. Alyssa states, “I see each client with a holistic lens that helps me partner with each client to create an individualized approach to therapy.”
Alyssa has a passion for animals, and she spends a lot of her time outside of work with her puppy, Roger, taking him for walks, car rides, and to the dog park. Alyssa adores her friends and family, and sends way too many TikToks and memes to each and every loved one in her life. She is always finding ways to build and empower her community, incorporating social justice into her work and everyday life.
