Alyssa is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and older adults. She has a wide range of experience helping people manage depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm and suicidality, emotion dysregulation, interpersonal issues, and substance use. Alyssa views the therapeutic relationship as the foundation to therapy, so she operates from a person-centered orientation to help build a strong, genuine, and authentic connection and provide a safe and trusting environment for each client. She uses an integrated-approach to highlight clients’ unique needs which includes working collaboratively, accepting individuals fully as they are, emphasizing client resiliency, and providing evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys going to the beach, eating out at restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.
