Allison Hurlburt, MSEd

Therapist

Allison is an empathetic, authentic, and down-to-earth therapist. Allison has spent her career working with survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence. Trauma work has been Allison’s passion and she believes everyone deserves to live a healthy and authentic life. As an advocate, preventionist, and therapist, Allison considers it a privilege to walk alongside someone in their healing journey.

Allison uses person-centered, trauma-focused, mindful approaches with clients. She utilizes dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and narrative therapy techniques to help people build self-esteem, learn coping skills, develop their strengths, and tell their stories. Allison loves working with high school and college students and enjoys helping them through times of change.

Allison enjoys late-night bonfires with friends and family, the sound of waves on Lake Superior, and the feel of freshly cleaned sheets. She is always listening to music, and you can find her on Sundays watching the Green Bay Packers (Go Pack Go!)
