Bio

Alicia is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has been working in the field since 2010. She is experienced in addressing issues of depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, psychotic symptoms, trauma, grief/loss, stress management, emotional and behavioral dysregulation, life transitions, and sexual health and identity. Her practice includes working with adolescents and adults for individual therapy (and couples or family therapy as needed by established clients). She brings a cognitive behavioral, existential and personal approach to therapy in order to meet clients where they are at in their emotional health.

Alicia has worked as a crisis line volunteer, ARMHS practitioner, ILS practitioner, and in home therapist in addition to her work in clinic. She utilizes her skills from this diverse background in her therapy services in order to better serve the needs of her clients. Alicia encourages insight through exploration of early and current experiences, as well as skills based learning (CBT, DBT, mindfulness) to promote change. She focuses her therapy on balancing each area of one’s life (emotional, physical, spiritual, occupational, environmental, intellectual, social) in order to obtain overall wellness.

When Alicia is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, tending her seven chickens, sewing, cooking, crocheting and making art.
