Therapist in training

Hello, I’m Alicia and I am a graduate intern, pursuing my master’s in social work at Grand Canyon University. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the City University of New York (CUNY). My purpose as a therapist is to provide support, education, and guidance during your healing journey. Utilizing a client-centered approach by creating a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space for you to explore your thoughts and process your feelings. I have a great deal of life experience which will allow me to relate to different perspectives, and life situations with a greater understanding.

As a social work intern, my goal is to apply the new information, and innovative tools I have learned to help you cope with depression, anxiety and overcome life’s struggles under the supervision of a licensed clinical therapist.
My goal is for you to have a good therapeutic experience and to apply all you have learned to help improve your mental health, well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life in various aspects of your daily life.

Together, we can work to uncover insights, gain self-awareness, build resilience, and take valuable steps toward achieving your mental health goals. Please feel free to reach out to me, I look forward to meeting you.
