Alexis is a Detroit native and obtained her Master of Social Work with an emphasis in child and family advocacy and treatment from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN. Alexis’s therapeutic foundation is centered around authenticity while creating a warm environment with a strengths-based, person-centered approach. Alexis has experience supporting clients through crisis intervention, depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, mood disorders, grief and loss, life changes/transitions, trauma/stress related issues, self-worth, family dynamics, and child-parent relationships. Alexis utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused methods to assist clients with developing and strengthening the skills needed to become experts of their own lives during and after therapy.
