Alexandra Wede, BA

Clinical Intern

Alexandra is a clinical intern pursuing a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Dakota State University. Alexandra would consider her approach to counseling to have a Person-Centered focus, and continuing to learn and grow in her therapeutic style. She incorporates many different approaches to best fit the client’s needs!

Alexandra’s personality is warm, creative, and playful. She understands the value of play with children and adolescents as that is how they best communicate at a young age and how essential it is to incorporate in a counseling setting. Her approaches allow her to connect with clients in a way that helps them feel heard, valued, and instills hope.

Alexandra has a passion for working with children and adolescents as her goal is to become a Licensed Play Therapist, but she enjoys working with individuals of all ages. She has experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting and college-aged students in her practicum.

In Alexandra’s free time, she can be found playing with her Corgi, Winston, or playing games with her husband and friends. She loves card games and board games, but her all-time favorite games are Mario either on the Switch or Wii!
