Medication Management Assistant  (MA/CMA/Psych Tech)

Ellie’s Medication Management program wants someone who is a team player, is detail oriented, organized, a quick learner, ability to multitask, has a background in working in a medical and mental health practice, knowledgeable of insurance and billing is a plus! Must be creative, hard-working, a culture contributor, and customer service focused.  Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office.  Experience as a Psych Tech, Medical Assistant, or LPA beneficial but not required.

Ellie Family Services is a growing mental health and wellness agency based out of Saint Paul and serving the entire metro area through individual, family, and group therapy services, ARMHS, Medication Management, and In-Home Therapy. Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide patient care support and assist providers as instructed by the Physician, APRN or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Triage patient calls with the ability to prioritize, and communicate effectively with the provider in a timely matter
  • Create patient profiles for new intakes and prepping progress notes for upcoming visits
  • Schedule follow up appointments and assist with internal and external referrals
  • Sorting documents into the electronic chart
  • Dispense medication and/or over the counter product samples as directed.
  • Observing and recording patient encounters, vital signs, and examinations in the EMR
  • Update client’s profiles to reflect changes in demographics, medications, diagnosis, lab results, etc.
  • Prepping refill requests and complete prior authorizations
  • Coordinate tasks with Client Relationship Specialists i.e. Setting up interpreters
  • Collecting co-pay and payments towards client’s balances
  • Correspond with Managerial staff often and in a timely manner
  • Attend and participate in all necessary staff meetings and trainings

Qualifications & Skills

  • Required experience working in a clinical setting
  • Preferred experience working in mental health environment and medical terminology
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Mental Health Technician preferred
  • Basic Life Support certification preferred
