CHANGING the CULTURE of MENTAL HEALTH

Director of Adult Psychiatry

Mendota Heights, Minnesota

Full Time

Hi. Hey, you. Yeah, you! Do you feel like you are banging your head into a wall at every turn in your efforts to improve the lives of people in your community? Are you tired of being measured by your cumulative output rather than the progress you’ve helped a patient achieve in their life? Are you tired of having your ideas dismissed outright as unorthodox? Do you find yourself constantly shaking your fist at interventions imposed on you and decreed by individuals above you who have no clue about your practice? We’ve been there too. It is tiring, isn’t it? What if I told you there is a better way? What if I told you there was a place where you aren’t just meat for the grinder? “No way!” you’d say, "Not in healthcare.” Believe it, it exists, and you can find it at Ellie Mental Health, Ellie Mental Health is seeking a passionate and creative Psychiatrist to join our team as Director of Adult Psychiatry. On offer is a tremendous opportunity to grow your leadership skills, leverage your clinical expertise and feel rejuvenated by working with a team and organization dedicated to breaking down barriers and doing things differently—better—in Mental Health. At Ellie we value potential over stagnation. This position would be a great fit for both the experienced leader to feel truly supported, or for a leader-at-heart to take that next big step in their career. This opportunity is a mix of clinical time seeing clients in a well supported outpatient clinic as well as time dedicated to developing and supporting the provision of adult psychiatric services within our team. We are looking for a psychiatrist interested in developing and optimizing outpatient care, community based care, speciality clinics as well as interventional approaches.  The Medication Management Team is a multidisciplinary group which currently includes Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Psychiatric Nurse and Medical Assistants. We have a referral base from 180+ therapists and our clinical focus is on outpatient care throughout the lifespan. Clinicians are highly supported with medical assistants, a reception team, and our billing department. We are looking for Psychiatrists to be educators and leaders amongst your colleagues and in patient care. Candidates should have a diverse background of experience, motivation, and flexibility. As Director of Adult Psychiatry, you will be a primary clinical resource for case consultation and provide supervision as needed. Additionally, in this position you will be tasked with collaborating on standards of care, clinical improvement projects, and developing educational resources. If you have read this far, we urge you to apply and start the discussion about a new environment to better yourself and your clients.
